Does a Sphynx feel cold? No, not at all! The Sphynx eats quite a lot, more then most cats. The reason is that a Sphynx has a higher metabolism through which he creates a slightly higher body temperature. We've got a normal 20 degrees Celsius in our home. They even go with me to our garage which is not heated at all.
Is a Sphynx allowed to come outside? A Sphynx is a normal cat just like any cat with a fur. Therefore it can go outside. But I would strongly advise you not to let your Sphynx outside for several reasons. - First there's today's traffic.
- Secondly amongst cats who come regurlarly outside there are two diseases cats leukamia and cat HIV. Both diseases are lethal and there is no medication.
- On the third place: Purebred cats are often stolen. I think all of them good reasons to keep your cat inside or let it out only in a well-closed garden or balcony where it can't get out on the street and no strange cat can come in.

Is the Sphynx the answer for people with a allergy for cats? This question can't be answered with a simple yes or no. It depends on which you react with an allergic reaction to a cat. People who're allergic for the fur of a cat, stand a good chance with a Sphynx as it has no hair. But one can also be allergic for substances in the saliva or the flakes of skin. Although flakes of skin are washed away during the bathing, one takes a certain risk in having even a Sphynx. Suppose you react to the cat then there are two persons sad, you who react to the cat with an allergic reaction and the cat who has to go to another home. I don't think it's a good idea if your sensible to the flakes of skin to have a Sphynx. One takes a quit huge risk. It's nowadays possible by examination of the blood to see for what part of the cat you react to. Then a good decision is possible. So one can't say that a Sphynx cat is the solution for allergic people who would loved to have a cat. Good blood examination is necessary.
